The AIs midterm excursion to the beautiful Sankri village in the Western Uttaranchal Himalayas offered a perfect blend of adventure, learning, and community service. Climbing up the Kedarkantha mountain base camp and trekking several kilometres was physically demanding but rewarding in terms of understanding the Himalayas. The hands-on experience of helping farmers by mixing seeds into the field with farming tools gave the students a new appreciation for the hard work that goes into agriculture. The students also engaged with the local community and painted creative designs on the walls of a local school. They visited the isolated village of Taluka and enjoyed playing cricket by the River Hariganga!
