A group of 43 Class VII students visited Jaipur and Ranthambore for their midterm break where they enjoyed a number of outdoor as well as team building exercises. The students undertook an evening jungle safari where they spotted a varied species of fauna and birds and even managed to spot a leopard and a pair of tigers! A visit to the Ranthambore Fort the following day offered a glimpse of an era gone by. In Jaipur, the students visited the popular tourist spots such as City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar. A visit to Chowki Dhani for dinner where a mind-boggling variety of Rajasthani dishes were served, was a well-deserved treat! On the final day, students visited Hathigaon, a shelter for elephants and their mahouts and learnt about the sustainable practices being followed to nurture the elephants in a state characterized by a scarcity of water resources.
