Six student delegates of class 9 and a staff member attended a Round Square Junior Conference at Whanganui Collegiate School in New Zealand from 4th to 8th December, 2023. Over two hundred students and educators from schools in India, China, Canada, America, England and Australia attended the conference. Students were fully immersed in creating global connections and forming friendships with students from all around the world in an exciting week of rich learning opportunities centred on the theme, ‘If you are called to lead – you are called to serve’. Students toured Kai Iwi Marae, Makahika Outdoor Pursuit Centre and Whanganui Regional Museum and took a ride on the Waimarie paddle steamer. They also participated in a service day with visits to Whanganui Hospice, Gordon Park, Bushy Park Tarapuruhi and coastal care programmes.
