A group of 50 students from Classes VIII to X attended a foundational training workshop for Model UN (Model United Nations) from 20th to 22nd March. The workshop focused on research, public speaking, negotiation, and diplomacy while introducing the Model United Nations (MUN) and its goals. Students learnt about the position papers, negotiation techniques, and MUN policies and practices, such as legislative processes and resolution writing. The highlight was a mock MUN session in which students debated world issues, acted as delegates, and performed diplomatic discussions in a UN-like setting. The workshop was a huge success in realising its goals of helping students develop their diplomatic abilities, global awareness, and teamwork.
