Six students attended the Round Square International Africa Regional Conference, 2024 hosted by Starehe Boys’ Centre and School, Kenya. The conference was built around the Round Square Ideal of Internationalism and the theme was ‘Global Citizens Tackling Global Challenges’. The students attended several key note addresses and actively contributed to student barraza sessions centered around pertinent global issues such as peace, democracy, transnational crime, climate change, refugee crisis and migration. The student delegates used this trip as an exceptional opportunity to explore the expansive naturalistic wealth of Kenya through their excursions to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, National Museum at Nairobi, Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage and Nairobi Giraffe Centre. Conclusively, it was an intellectually and experientially enriching visit for the students.
