OVERVIEW
The school is affiliated to two boards: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE), New Delhi which is an all-India Board and the Cambridge Assessment International Examination (CAIE) which is an International Board. The school offers classes from Grades VI to XII. The academic year which commences in March, culminates in final examinations held in February of the following year.
English is the medium of instruction throughout the school. Hindi holds a place of importance in the curriculum and every effort is made to ensure that each student attains a high standard in the language. In addition, students in the Middle School (Grades VI to VIII) have the opportunity to choose a third language from Sanskrit, French, Spanish, German or Punjabi.
COURSES OF STUDY
Apart from the compulsory subjects, which include English, Hindi, Social Studies, and Mathematics, students of Class X are required to select between Science/Environmental Science/Economics. Besides this, they are expected to opt for atleast one skill-based subject for the Council examinations. The choice includes Computer Applications, Robotics & AI, Yoga, Hindustani Music (Vocal Music/Sitar), Indian Dance (Kathak/Bharatnatyam), Art, Home Science, French, and Physical Education.
In preparation for the school-leaving final ISC (Indian School Certificate) Board examination held at the end of Class XII, at the 10+2 level, the School makes it possible for students to take subjects across the three streams: Humanities, Science, and Commerce. A large selection of subjects is offered at this level. English is compulsory. Optional subjects may be selected from among the following: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, History, Economics, Psychology, Political Science, Elective English, Hindi, Commerce, Accounts, Home Science, Environmental Science, Art, and Indian Hindustani Music. The School wishes to offer its students the best possible opportunity to develop their areas of interest and therefore makes every effort to cater to an individual's special requirements by accommodating subjects in a wide variety of combinations.
