We are seeking a dedicated, qualified and experienced Lifeguard to join our team and ensure the safety and well-being of our students for grades 6 to 12. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working and maintaining a safe environment in the swimming pool area and responding to emergency situations with professionalism and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students during swimming activities, providing constant oversight in and around the pool.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, administering first aid, CPR and other lifesaving measures when needed.
• Regularly maintain and clean the pool by monitoring water quality, checking chemical levels and ensuring all pool equipment is functioning properly to ensure a safe and clean environment.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and ensure safety equipment (e.g., lifebuoys, first aid kits) is in working order and easily accessible.
• Assist swimming coach in day-to-day operations which may include but not be limited to basic swim instructions, encouraging water safety and swimming techniques.
• Foster a positive, supportive environment, helping students feel confident and safe in the water.
• Maintain records of pool use, safety incidents and report any concerns to the swimming coach.
• Participate in regular training and drills on rescue techniques, CPR, first aid, and other lifesaving skills to stay updated with the latest procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in any field.
• Valid Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent)
• CPR/AED Certification for Professional Rescuers First Aid Certification

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of lifeguarding experience.
• Prior experience in a boarding school is a plus.

Remuneration:
