A workshop on MS-Excel was conducted by Ms. Sapna Sharma, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Robotics on 19th January, 2024. The session aimed to familiarize teachers with various features and functions of Excel, facilitating the creation of lists with specified special conditions. Teachers found the workshop beneficial, enabling them to efficiently extract information from provided data.
Mrs. Richa Joshi Pant conducted a session on writing effective Letters of Recommendation (LORs) for students. She emphasized the importance of informal interaction to start the process. She elucidated the structure of an LOR, using a fictional example to illustrate key points. She emphasized how LORs are the integral part of the student application and are to be written with zeal. Throughout the session, Mrs. Pant reiterated various aspects to ensure clarity and comprehension among participants.
A talk was also conducted by Mrs. Kusum Dandona, Dean of Pastoral Care, for all matrons on ‘The Journey: From Childhood to Adolescence’. Participants shared the challenges they face while tacking teenagers and came up with potential solutions to these situations. The matrons felt that some of the problems and issues covered in the discussion had improved their understanding of handling pastoral issues.
