In a first, a team of budding mycologists created history as they successfully cultivated Oyster Mushrooms in waste coconut shells as part of the Eco-Tadpole Zero Waste Campus Initiative! While mapping waste generated in different areas of the campus, the students came up with the idea of cultivating Oyster Mushrooms in coconut shells which were part of kitchen waste. The elated group of students gained a new perspective and insight into the science and methodology of seeding and harvesting mushrooms for which they have been devoting their time daily since the past month. Cheers to future conservationalists and environmentalists!
