Ms Shefali Verma, HoD, Sports Department, attended the 8th South Asian Karate Championship, 202, held in Thimpu, Bhutan, from 16th to 19th July. As part of the event, she attended a seminar on WKF Rules and Regulations (Kata & Kumite) conducted by Mr. Michael Huang (Chinese Taipei), member of Referee Commission of Asian Karate Federation. He also conducted the exam for Referee and Judge. Ms Verma cleared the exam of JUDGE -B, which certifies her as an Asia-level judge for any Karate Championship.
