On the occasion of World Environment Day on 5th June, 2024, Sharanya Agarwal of class 8 organised a workshop on "A Step Towards Sustainability" for a group of children in her society in Hisar, Haryana. The workshop aimed to educate and inspire the children about the importance of protecting the environment. Sharanya designed informative posters, and organised an environment-related quiz, interesting games and a drawing competition. The children shared their experiences pledged to walk the talk by promising to live sustainably and spread the message “Protect Environment to Protect Humanity”. The day culminated with each child picking a plant of their choice and an earthen pot to keep water for birds and other little creatures who could quench their thirst in the sweltering heat.
