Six students from Welham Girls’ School participated in the 1st edition of the Model G-20 Summit hosted by Mayo College, Ajmer, from January 19th to 21st, 2024. The conference focused on the themes "Let There Be Light" and “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” encapsulating the essence of knowledge, hope, and unity, aligning with the actual G20 theme of “One Earth, One Family, One Future.” A total of 124 delegates of 20 schools from all over India participated in the Summit. The event comprised six committees, including a Sherpa committee, which successfully compiled the Mayo Declaration replicating the original New Delhi Declaration. The students had the opportunity to attend a session and interact with the Chief Guest, Mr. Amitabh Kant, the G20 Sherpa of India.
