The Oliphant Memorial Debate 2024 was hosted by Welham Boys’ School on 23rd and 24th August, 2024 in the Modified British Parliamentary format. Aahana Gupta, Gayatri Bhatia, and Prarthana Goenka represented WGS in the competition where they swept through the 3 Preliminary Rounds to qualify for the semifinals. In the final round they debated on a philosophical motion to emerge as Winners. Prarthana was adjudged the 2nd Best Speaker in the preliminary rounds, and Most Promising Speaker in the semi final round and final rounds. Gayatri was awarded 3rdBest Speaker in the preliminary rounds and Best Speaker in the Semi final and Final rounds. The trophy was lifted by Welham Girls’ School. Congratulations!
