Twenty-seven students represented WGS at the Global Round of the World Scholar’s Cup in Stockholm from 11th to 18th July. The event, with the theme ‘Reimagining the Present’, aimed to teach students interesting, not-taught-in-school lessons, and find common ground among people of different backgrounds. All 27 students who participated in the World Scholars' Cup achieved remarkable success. They won 159 medals and 6 trophies, reflecting their hard work, dedication, and exceptional talent. The students' achievements were celebrated in a grand award ceremony, where they were recognized for their excellence in various categories. The students showcased their skills in various events such as debates, collaborative writing, scavenger hunt, the Scholar’s Bowl, and the talent show. Students also had the opportunity to go sightseeing. They visited several cultural and historical landmarks such as the Royal Place, the City Hall, the old town of Gamla Stan, and the university town of Uppsala. These excursions provided a perfect balance to the rigorous academic schedule, offering relaxation.
