An interactive Humane Education Workshop was held on the 15th of August 2024 by a Chandigarh-based NGO. The session for junior school focused on how to read a dog’s body language and avoid being bitten. Students were provided awareness about rabies and how to prevent it. Students learnt about animal behavior and understood the ‘dogese’ language. Students thereafter had the opportunity to interact with a puppy. The session for senior school was based upon empathy and kindness towards animals where students were encouraged to think about animals and their needs, feelings and suffering. Students were motivated to initiate and foster a culture of volunteering for social causes, creating kinder, humane, aware and more tolerant citizens.
