A group of 35 students from Class XI went to Chopta, Uttarakhand for their midterm break. The itinerary was curated keeping in mind the wonderful treks in and around the area. such as the 5-km trek to the Deoria Taal lake, famed for its tranquil waters; and the 10-km trek to the Tungnath Temple, nestled amidst the majestic snow-capped peaks. This trek was an arduous one as the trail was completely snow covered. However, the Welhamites took the challenge in their stride and even got to slide down a frosted slope on their way back! They also had the opportunity to the sacred Omkareshwar temple, known as the winter seat of Kedarnath and attended the famed aarti.
