Project Unnati- A social initiative
By Ridhvi Garg & Tejaswani Gupta Wednesday, Aug 09, 2023
"Rome wasn't built overnight," and similarly, big changes don't happen in an instant. This idea guides Project Unnati, a venture initiated by us, Tejaswani Gupta and Ridhvi Garg, students of grade 12. We launched this project in the fall of 2022, uniting students from the 9th and 10th grades to create a positive impact in India.
Our aim is to make society more equitable by helping those who have less. We want to provide them with the tools they need for a better future. With the support of our volunteers, we're working diligently to bring about meaningful change. We spend time with orphans, visit nursing homes to spend time with the elderly, and visit juvenile jails. Our goal is to bring about positive changes in various ways. This also helps us gain experiences which will help us make well informed decisions in the future.
Our volunteers go the extra mile to help. They visit schools for blind children and centres that support kids with special needs. They also visit places where kids don't have families and even donate blood to help others. Our volunteers organize book drives and assist elderly people in nursing homes. We believe that learning from these experiences will help us make wise decisions in the future.
We hope that our initiative, known as Unnati, spreads a sense of achievement throughout our society. We encourage everyone to use their resources to improve the lives of others. Just like Rome took time to become great, each step we take now contributes to a brighter future for everyone.
